2nd post for today..I feel like blogging again cos of wad I read in my fren's blog. OK..im going to talk about my school's concert band..I too feel very upset sometimes as there are so many people who don't turn up for practices and they end up destryong the whole song piece with the wrong way they play it..and our poor mr ong has to repeat wad he says over and over again just because of a few chaps..ok..I don't wan to disgrace the community..but..I hope that someone from the community can just speak to the band about his/her feelings lor..but I think it will never happen..secondly..the wearing of band t-shirts..it's stated very clearly that ALL members got to put on their band-t for practices..but..people in the community are not practicing it..is this a good example set to other band members? NO..definitely not..likewise...if the leaders do not lead their section well..there ain't no good leaders. Frankly speaking..I am a leader myself..sometimes..It's really difficult to juggle friendship..band..and studies..and people keep comparing me to other leaders...I indeed..feel very hurt at times...sometimes I wonder..if being a leader compromises friendship..I would rather save the friendship..but because I have 13 members to lead..I have to let go..If I do not lead my section well..people will say that im not a good leader..if I don't carry out the proper things that need to be carried out..people will say that Im lazing..if I don't do my job well..my 13 members do not learn anything..and they keep playing the same mistakes over and over again..if i am too lenient..my members will never learn..and if Im too demanding..they say they are tired..so tell me wad should I do..I can only find the answer by myself..nobody will ever understand..as a senior of the band..I feel that there is a need to uphold the band rules..currently..nobody cares about wadever rules the band has..is this the band that people do wad they like..? Is this the band that I know? Is this the band I was once in?..why are people in the band becoming so selfish..dats because they only care about demselves..never ever sparing a thought for others..if this is the kind of upbringing that band members have..den..I think it will be pointless for us to aim for a goal..let alone a silver medal..band members got to be more accommodating..yes..I agree that there are much pressure from schoolwork and exams..but there is not only one person who is facing pressure..everyone has their own difficulties..similarly..there's not only one candidate for the O level examination..there are many many more..let's not be so selfless as to only care about ourselves..let's be more rational..if many of us can turn up for band practice everytime..I don't see the reason why the others cannot..if u manage your time well..there's nth thats impossible to achieve..in life..we gain some and we lose some..be more flexible and adaptable...and to my clarinets..if there's any feedback..u all can speak to me personally..
